The community Family Park Playground on the fairgrounds is a great place for parents and kids to run, climb, swing, slide and picnic.

The park was created in partnership with Island Rec and a group of hardworking, generous volunteers and donors. It has a jungle gym, climbing bars, two swing sets (for older kids and younger) and a covered picnic area with picnic tables and BBQ.

The park is daily open from 8 AM to dusk for kids 2 to 12 with adult supervision. Alcohol and pets are prohibited in the park.

The Skate Park at the fairgrounds was built as a cooperative project with Island Rec and many community donors and volunteers. It's pretty cool with an 8 foot half bowl,12 foot long kink rail, fun box with hubba, roll ins, quarter bowl and 11 foot quarter-pipe.

It's open daily from 7 AM to dusk.

Helmets and pads are recommended.

Remember, play it cool, play it safe, have fun!
